11th Comval Family Health Fair goes to Monkayo
Monkayo, Comval— In its 11th year, Davao De Oro’s annual Provincial Family Health Fair offers different healthcare services to Comvalenyos, visited Monkayo, Comval on September 3, 2018.
This is in accordance to Executive order 36-2008, declaring every September 3 of every year as Family Health Day in the province signed by then governor of Comval Gov. Arturo Uy.
The event was spearheaded by the Provincial Government of Davao De Oro through the Provincial Health Office in coordination with the Local Government of Monkayo.
Aside from the usual services being offered, this year’s family health fair also featured Buntis Congress. It was made possible in partnership with the Municipal Women Development Council of Monkayo headed by Board Member Joanna Gentugaya.
The Buntis Congress aimed to provide the best maternal health care and giving best services and showcase of pregnant women in the municipality.
The activity also showcased the Search for Pretty Preggy 2018. Ever Alforque of Brgy. Poblacion was crowned as the winner. She was followed by Emavil Cabañes of Brgy. Pasian as the first runner up and Rose Dianne Ayco of Brgy. Banlag as the 2nd runner up.
This undertaking is in line with the celebration of the 64th Araw ng Monkayo and 23rd Kariyawan Festival of the municipality. // (Sheldane Mahinay, ID Comval)
