More than four hundred (400) participants including OFWs and their families converged at the Provincial Capitol Lobby on Wednesday (December 20, 2023) for the OFW Family Day.
Facilitated by the Provincial Administrator’s Office – Public Employment Service Division (PESD) of the provincial government, the event aimed to recognize the sacrifices of our modern Filipino heroes, the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), and to strengthen relationships between OFWs and their families.
Moreover, this event highlighted camaraderie among the members of different OFW Family Circles (OFCs), showcasing their various livelihood products as well as their talents through dance contests.
Governor Dorothy P. Montejo-Gonzaga, together with SP Board Member Ruwina Gonzaga, PSWDO head Josephine Frasco, Executive Assistant II Claire Gonzaga, Nabunturan Mayor Myrocel Balili represented by Mr. Mark Joseph Piñol, DdO OWWA Family Welfare Officer Rajane May Cabiles, PESD head Lynjie Llaban, OFC Federation President Reza Castillo, and among others, graced the occasion and showed her full support for improving the lives of the OFW community and their families.
