PHO-DdO conducts feeding program in Magsaysay

Around seventy (70) children in Brgy. Magsaysay, Nabunturan received nutritious meals from the Provincial Government of Davao de Oro headed by Governor Dorothy Montejo-Gonzaga through the Provincial Health Office in a feeding program held on July 28, 2022.

The feeding program was part of the province’s celebration of the Nutrition Month wherein nutrition-related activities were amplified by the provincial government.

According to PHO, children-beneficiaries including those at the borderline of malnutrition and with normal Body Mass Index (BMI) were included in the supplemental feeding program. Parents also participated in a cooking demonstration by PHO as a training for the preparation of a correct and sufficient meal for their children at home.

Moreover, PHO will coordinate with the eleven (11) municipalities of the province to monitor and evaluate local level nutrition program implementation and search for the best nutrition implementers. (PAO-IPRD DdO)
