Special General Assembly for New Bataan Resettlement Homeowners Association held

As implementors of various grants and socialized housing programs, the Provincial Government of Davao de Oro through PAO-Housing and Homesite Division (HHD), together with the National Housing Authority (NHA) and Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), recently spearheaded a Special General Assembly and Committee Election for the New Bataan Homeowners Association at Brgy. San Roque, New Bataan, Davao de Oro on September 1, 2022.

Located at Brgy. San Roque, the New Bataan Resettlement Project 1 was one of the various projects implemented by the governing bodies that have two thousand three hundred sixty (2360) beneficiaries. As one of the basic needs, the project paved the way to a better living for the families of the community.

Governor Dorothy Montejo Gonzaga, represented by Edward Macapili, underscored that the government, through the active cooperation of housing agencies, will prioritize the intensification of housing programs among the underprivileged who were once victims of the wrath brought by Bagyong Pablo in 2012. Following the due process of law, the government will do its role to settle problems that would arise on housing concerns, and the necessity for cooperation and participation among beneficiaries would help ease the process.

Ayuhon ang problema sa pabahay arun masiguro nga ang katawhan nga namuyo makaangkon sa tinuod nga programa ug sa dili dugay maangkon ninyu ang mga titulo sa inyung mga balay” EA Macapili said.

During the event, the governing bodies held an election for the village’s Committee on Elections, who are tasked with electing the grievance committee that will look after the housing and facility issues. Moreover, the NHA and DHSUD held an orientation on R.A. 9904 or the Magna Carta for Homeowners and Homeowners’ Association. In the coming weeks, more special general assemblies will be organized by the governing bodies for the remaining housing settlements in the province.
