A Legacy of Progress: Governor Dorothy M. Gonzaga’s Final State of the Province Report Highlights Davao de Oro’s Milestones

In her third year as governor of Davao de Oro, Hon. Dorothy M. Gonzaga delivered her final State of the Province Report (SOPR), highlighting the province’s gains in 2024.

In time for the celebration of the 27th Founding Anniversary of the province last March 8, Governor Gonzaga outlined in her SOPR the significant accomplishments of Davao de Oro during her tenure.

The SOPR featured firsthand reports on key governance areas – Social, Economic, Environmental, and Institutional Governance – delivered by the province’s Department Heads.

In an emotional moment during her speech, Governor Gonzaga expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Davao de Oro, the entire workforce of the Provincial Government, provincial officials, stakeholders, and her husband, 2nd District Congressman Ruwel Peter Gonzaga, for their unwavering support to her administration.

Serving as the guest of honor and keynote speaker during the Foundation Day Program was Senator Imee R. Marcos who commended the provincial government’s efforts in driving economic growth, strengthening social services, and ensuring Davao de Oro’s sustainable development in the recent years.

Also present in the event were DILG XI Director Abdullah V. Matalam, who served as the guest speaker, municipal mayors from across the province, various men in uniform, and heads of national government agencies, adding significance to the occasion.
