GOVERNOR’S WEEKLY REPORT || AUGUST 1-5, 2022
August 5, 2022
Governor Raul Mabanglo, together with Congressman Jhong Ceniza and Mayor Oliver Ceniza, personally turned over new hospital beds and wall fans for the patients of the Davao de Oro Provincial Hospital (DdOPH) – Pantukan on July 21, 2025, as part of ongoing efforts to upgrade public health services in the province.

“I felt like we weren’t even in a hospital because the bed my child and I used was so comfortable—the foam was soft and of good quality. Thank you so much, Gov. Mabanglo, Cong. Jhong, and Cong. Maricar Zamora-Mabanglo, because the beds now are nothing like the hard ones we experienced before when my child was previously admitted—there’s a huge improvement,” said Rose Ann Rañola, mother of a pediatric patient.
She added that the quick installation of the wall fans was also a big help, especially in their room, since her child has pneumonia.
“𝑠𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑚𝑎𝑡 𝑘𝑎𝑎𝑦𝑜 𝑘𝑎𝑦 𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑖 𝑛𝑎 𝑔𝑦𝑢𝑑 𝑖𝑔𝑎𝑛𝑔… 𝑛𝑎𝑎 𝑛𝑎 𝑔𝑦𝑢𝑑 ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑖𝑛”.
“Thank you very much because it’s no longer hot and humid… there’s finally ventilation,” she said.

Governor Mabanglo explained that the equipment they turned over serves as an immediate solution to the lack of hospital facilities, aside from the infrastructure issues they initially observed during their visit.
“𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑖𝑡𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑛𝑎𝑚𝑜 𝑛𝑖 𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑎 𝑠𝑎 𝑘𝑎𝑎𝑦𝑢ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝑠𝑎 𝑚𝑔𝑎 𝑘𝑎𝑡𝑎𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑛, 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑎𝑠𝑠𝑢𝑟𝑒𝑑 ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑦 ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑦𝑜𝑛 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑜 𝑛𝑖𝑔 𝑠𝑢𝑙𝑏𝑎𝑑 𝑜𝑔 𝑎𝑡𝑜𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑎𝑛 𝑜𝑔 𝑝𝑎𝑎𝑔𝑖 𝑛𝑔𝑎 𝑚𝑎ℎ𝑎𝑡𝑎𝑔𝑎𝑛 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑜𝑔 𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑎𝑘𝑡𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑏𝑢𝑑𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑎𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑎𝑚𝑒 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑐𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑠𝑎 𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑐𝑖𝑝𝑎𝑙 𝑔𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑛𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡, 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑙 𝑔𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑛𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ 𝑠𝑎 𝑎𝑡𝑜𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑐𝑡 𝑟𝑒𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑠 𝑛𝑔𝑎 𝑠𝑖𝑙𝑎 𝐶𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑀𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑟 𝑢𝑔 𝐶𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝐽ℎ𝑜𝑛𝑔,”
“This is part of our commitment to the welfare of our people… rest assured that we will gradually address these concerns and find ways to allocate the proper budget, in collaboration with the municipal government and the national government through our district representatives, Cong. Maricar and Cong. Jhong,” Gov. Mabanglo added.
The wall fans were provided through the initiative of Cong. Ceniza, while the hospital beds were donated by private partners, including Apex Mining Corporation.
Of the 30 beds donated by Apex, 15 were sent to DdOPH Montevista, 5 to Pantukan, 5 to Laak, and 5 to Maragusan.
Cong. Ceniza also expressed his office’s continued readiness to help those in need, especially patients. He reaffirmed his strong support for all projects and programs of the provincial government.

“𝐺𝑎𝑚𝑎𝑦 𝑛𝑔𝑎 𝑏𝑢𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑔, 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒ℎ𝑜𝑤 𝑖𝑡 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑤𝑠 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑘𝑢𝑛𝑔 𝑢𝑛𝑠𝑎 𝑚𝑖 𝑚𝑜 𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑔𝑎 𝑢𝑔 𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑔𝑎𝑑 𝑠𝑎 𝑖𝑛𝑦𝑢ℎ𝑎 … 𝑆𝑢𝑔𝑜𝑑 𝑝𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑛𝑖, 𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑘𝑎𝑚𝑜𝑡 𝑚𝑖 𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑎 𝑚𝑎𝑘𝑎ℎ𝑎𝑡𝑎𝑔 𝑜𝑔 𝑚𝑎𝑠 𝑘𝑜𝑛𝑏𝑒𝑛𝑦𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑒 𝑠𝑎 𝑚𝑔𝑎 𝑝𝑎𝑠𝑦𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑒 𝑢𝑔 𝑤𝑎𝑡𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑠 𝑑𝑖𝑟𝑖𝑎 𝑠𝑎 ℎ𝑜𝑠𝑝𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑙,”
“It may be a small thing, but it somehow shows our sincerity in caring for and serving you… This is just the beginning. We will work hard to provide more comfort for patients and their watchers here at the hospital,” said Cong. Ceniza.
The improvement of provincial hospitals is one of the key platforms of the Lambo team, composed of Gov. Mabanglo, Cong. Ceniza of the 2nd District, and Cong. Maricar Zamora-Mabanglo of the 1st District.
