To bring government services near its clientele, the Bureau of Internal Revenue BIR Revenue District Office 112 – Tagum City successfully conducted a 1-1-2our Caravan for the taxpayers in Davao de Oro at the Provincial Capitol Lobby, Nabunturan, today, April 12, 2023.
A total of 456 transactions were catered during the event from the services offered, including assistance on the filing of 2022 Income Tax Return (ITR), Estate Tax Amnesty Computation, One-Time Transaction concerns, Client Support Section transactions, and other BIR concerns.
In his message, Revenue District Officer Eddie Leo Galera II reminded taxpayers of their obligation to pay the correct taxes voluntarily as these collected taxes will be used as a fund to finance projects for the well-being of all Filipinos, such as livelihood, social security, health, and infrastructure, among others.
“This caravan started in the year 2022 that offers, caters to, and brings to the tax-paying public their needs. Through this caravan, we will be able to reach taxpayers, resolve, and ease their burden to transact BIR,” Galera said.
On March 6, 2023, the local officials of the Island Garden City of Samal and the Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioner spearheaded the groundbreaking ceremony for the BIR-Samal Satellite Office. RDO Galera added that “hopefully mahimo nato na (ang pagpatukod sa satellite office) in the province of Davao de Oro, maghulat lang mi sa inyung mga hangyu.”
