July 24, 2019, Philippine International Convention Center- The Provincial Government of Compostela Valley received a bronze award from the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (HRM) of the Civil Service Commission. ComVal Gov. Tyron Uy personally received the award from CSC Chair Alicia dela Rosa-Bala, Commissioners Aileen Lizada and Leopoldo Roberto Valderosa in the awarding ceremony held last July 24, 2019 at the Philippine International Convention Center. CSC-XI Regional Director Adams Torres, Provincial Human Resource Management Officer Lara Bermejo and other personnel from the province’s Human Resource Office joined the governor in the awarding ceremony.
The award signifies the increased efforts of the provincial government to make its human resource pool reliable and competent and its recruitment process merit and competency-based. In the part of Governor Uy, he expressed delight on this award.
“This award is a step in the right direction. Part of our vision in the province is to make sure that our workforce are truly responsive to the demands of our changing times.”, he said.
The young governor also expressed his gratitude to the HRMO for securing the distinction.
“I thank everyone in the Human Resource Office; they are the ones who made this happen. I salute their efforts to develop our bureaucracy”, he continued.
The local government units of Monkayo led by Mayor Ramil Gentugaya, Maco led by Mayor Alvera Veronica Rimando, and Pantukan led by Mayor Roberto Yugo also received their bronze awards.
