Compostela Valley Province— Another five schools will be built this month at the five far-flung villages in the municipalities of Compostela, New Bataan and Pantukan, Compostela Valley Province. This as the provincial government of Comval led by Governor Jayvee Tyron L. Uy through their Provincial Government (PG) and Assistant PG Heads of the different offices will lead the 5 clusters as they conduct series of social preparation or coordinative meetings on September 4 – 6, 2019. The activity is part of the “Oplan Pagbabago Program, Bayanihan sa Paaralan Build” for the construction of school classrooms.
The five school sites will be located in Sitio Side 4, Barangay Mangayon, and in Purok 3, Barangay Panansalan both in Compostela, while the other schools will be located in Danawan, Barangay Manurigao and in Purok 3, Barangay Pagsabangan in New Bataan and at Purok 10, Sitio Sapanglubog in Barangay Tibagon, in Pantukan.
The identified areas for the building of school classrooms were being run before by the revolutionary New Peoples’ Army (NPA) and even have their Salugpungan schools built to influence the mindset of the local kids.
During the program, the communities were gathered for the discussion of the plan for the ‘Bayanihan sa Paaralan’ which will commence simultaneously on September 20 as it also requires the help of the community in building a classroom in “bayanihan-style” for 15- 20 days with the help also of the capitol employees.
On September 6, the social preparation was held in Purok 10, Sitio Sapanglubog, Tibagon were it was attended by the provincial and local officials led by Governor Uy, together with the Department of Education (DepEd) officials, PG and Assistant PG Heads, and the Barangay Officials of the said Barangay.
According to Governor Uy that everyone deserves quality education regardless of where they are. “This is what the Provincial Government and I believe in. Wala’y duol o layo nga dapit para sa atong mga kabataan,” the governor said.
Meanwhile, Provincial Administrator Virgilia S. Allones expressed her gratitude as she led the social preparation in Purok 3, Barangay Panansalan last Sep 4, 2019 to the Barangay and Purok officials and encourages the community to support and help the building of classroom.
