Comval crafts IP Revenue Code

Compostela Valley Province— Indigenous People (IP) Revenue Code planned to be crafted in Comval Province for the coming days. The crafting of the code will lead to the assurance and accommodation of the IP’s needs in the province.

During the joint Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) Provincial Development Council (PDC) meeting on October 22, 2019 at the Provincial Capitol of Compostela Valley Province, IPMR Representative Albert Camana gave a report with regard to IP Revenue Code. The meeting was attended by PPOC Chair Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy, Provincial Director of DILG Noel Duarte, Provincial Planning and Development Officer Romeo Celeste, Municipal Mayors of Comval headed by League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) Chair Mayor Ruberto Yugo of Pantukan, Officials of PNP, BFP, NCIP, DepEd and DPWH.

In line with the Provincial Government of Compostela Valley Province’s 4Ps+ program, the creation of the IP Revenue Code will contribute to prosperity as well as to the good of the constituents in the province. “It will lessen the delays of the different projects by the government in Certificate of Ancestral Domain Titles (CADT) Areas” said Gov. Uy.

The IP Revenue Code will be a magnet to investors and will lessen their hesitations whether to invest or not in Comval Tribal areas. These areas were owned by different tribal groups through CADT given by the government.#YEStoDavaoDeOro (Jasteen P. Abella, ID COMVAL)
