Comval Gov. Uy emphasizes RPOC works for progress for peace during RPOC XI Appreciation Night
Compostela Valley Province—ComVal Governor Jayvee Tyron L. Uy relays his message to major officials and members of the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) and many others who are of attendance of the RPOC XI Appreciation Night at the Ritz Garden Oases in Davao city on June 27, 2019.
Gov. Uy highlights through his message that there are still drug dependents that are in need of the government’s help and there are also many children who cannot sustain enough for their schooling because of the armed conflict, the RPOC’s work will continue for the achievement of peace and continuing of its positive progress.
“So as long as there are still rebels not reunited with their family and community, there are still drug dependents that still can’t access the necessary help, there are still students that can’t go to school because of armed conflicts, and there are communities disturbed by lawless elements, the work of RPOC never ends,” said Gov. Uy.
Other officials in attendance of the event were 10th Infantry Division (ID) Commander Major General Jose Faustino Jr. who also gave a message, PNP Region XI Director PBGen. Marcelo Morales also gave the message in behalf of PNP Chief Dir. Gen. Oscar D. Abayalde, and DILG Region XI Director Alex C Roldan.
A highlight of the event was the awarding of the “Seed of Peace”, given by Governor Uy to those who are part of the RPOC from 2016 to 2019 for their contributions and efforts for the lasting peace and security that has been achieved throughout Davao Region. (Sean Seismundo, ID Comval)
