Comval health services showcase in Family Health Fair 2017
Mawab, Davao De Oro — Different Health care services were showcased in the 10th Family Health Fair on August 31, 2017 at Mawab Municipal Gymnasium, Mawab, Davao De Oro.
The Provincial Government of Davao De Oro together with the Provincial Health Office, Provincial Economic Enterprise and Management Office, 11 Municipalities, four Comval Provincial hospitals (CVPH) and other stakeholders had set-up booths to cater the health needs of each member of the family. There were a total of nine booths consisting of Adolescent Health, Family Planning, Non-communicable & Senior Citizen, Traditional & Alternative Medicine, Communicable & Environmental Sanitation, Maternal Health, Oral Health, Philhealth and Child Malnutrition/Kiddie Booth.
With the theme, “Ang naghiusa ug himsug nga pamilya, kalig-on sa probinsya,” which aims to increase health awareness and motivate the community to have a positive-seeking behavior. It also promotes the continuous use of the various health services and utilities available in the province as it affirms the fundamental role of every family as the social and moral center of the community.
“Usa sa mission gyud namo diri sa Davao De Oro na, we will have healthy and responsible citizen gyud,” said Davao De Oro Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy.
The celebration is in accordance to the Executive Order No. 036-2008 declaring September 3 of every year as the Family Health Day issued by former governor, now Senior Board member Arturo Uy.
Aside from the simultaneous booth services, activities such as Senior Citizen Zumba, a press conference and Search for Gandang Buntis were also conducted. (Sheldane Mahinay // ids Davao De Oro)
