Comval PLGU, 10ID PA holds Paskuhan sa Kampo 2018
Mawab, Comval Province– The presence of soldiers in a community usually connotes preemptive military presence to avoid conflict, however, on December 8, the contrary occurred as both the armed forces and the local residents beamed and laughed their hearts out during the Paskuhan sa Kampo 2018 at 10ID Grand stand, Camp Manuel T. Yan Sr, Brgy. Tuboran, Mawab, Davao De Oro.
“This is a tradition na gusto natin ipagpatuloy. Ito ay pagpapakita ng aming pagpapasalamat sa mga neighboring barangay, particularly ang Brgy. Tuboran in hosting the headquarters of 10ID and other neighboring barangays, like brgy. Salvacion,” said Brigadier General Mario Lacurom, Assistant Division Commander of 10 ID.
Paskuhan Sa Kampo is an annual activity of the 10th Infantry Division held every December, in partnership with the provincial government of Davao De Oro, local government unit of Mawab and other stakeholders. It aims to extend support to the less fortunate residents from neighboring barangays. It also aims to build a strong relationship with them.
This year, residents from Barangay Tuboran and Barangay Salvacion were the chosen beneficiaries.
Despite the not so good weather, children and adults, alike, filled the day with positive vibes by actively participating in the parlor games. During lunchtime, the residents and soldiers helped themselves in a boodle fight.
To complete the “Paskuhan sa Kampo” experience, food packs and toys were given to the residents. Everyone were all smiles as they received their gifts from Santa and friends.
“Malipayon ug pasalamaton kaayo ko kay napili mi as beneficiaries. Kining among nadawat karon dako na kayo ni siya nga blessing karong kapaskuhan,” exclaimed Ate Rio, one of the beneficiaries from Brgy. Tuboran. (Sheldane Mahinay // ID Comval)
