Comval Prov’l Officials Ink ELA
Compostela Valley Province—Comval Governor Jayvee Tyron L. Uy together with Vice Governor Maria Carmen S. Zamora and the provincial officials officially signed the newly created Executive Legislative Agenda (ELA) to give priority for the next 3 years of their constituents.
The signing was held during the Monday employees convocation program at the capitol lobby Cabidianan, Nabunturan, Comval on October 7, 2019.
The executive and legislative branch presented and signed the ELA of the province for the year 2019-2020. Both branches also presented their 100 Day Reports.
Present during the event were District-I and II Representatives Hon. Manuel Zamora and Hon. Ruwel Peter Gonzaga, Municipal Mayors and Vice Mayors of the eleven municipalities of the province, Presidents and Ex-officio members of the Association of Barangay Captains (ABC), Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation, Philippine Councilors League (PCL), National Movement for Young Legislators (NMYL) and representatives from the national agencies.
Gov. Uy presented the Executive Agenda during the ELA signing at the provincial Capitol lobby. The young governor called for the unity between the Executive and Legislative Departments as the province looks forward to becoming Davao de Oro.
“We mark the signing of the ELA, a document that embodies our people’s aspiration; representative of the vision we’ve set for our province for the next three years. I want to thank everyone who participated in making this ELA- to all department heads, program holders, executive assistants and our partners from the Development Academy of the Philippines,” the governor said.
He added, “for the last three years saw major progress in our province’s trajectory. We recorded the lowest child malnutrition incidence in Davao Region, our security situation are getting more stable, and we are one of the only seven rice-sufficient provinces in the entire country. Hailed as Davao Region’s second most competitive province in 2018, high-impact investments are coming in our province in an unprecedented manner and our small enterprises are growing fastly now more than eve.”
On the other hand, Vice Governor Zamora said that “with what we have seen so far, we can honestly say that we have selected the right leaders to lead us from valley to golden opportunities. In order to realize the promise of Davao de Oro, we must live and embody the bayanihan spirit, the timeless ideal of convergence, cooperation and collective responsibility.”
“We are departments with distinct responsibilities but we are one. There is no executive agenda or legislative agenda, there is only one Davao de Oro agenda. There is no executive vision or legislative vision, there is only one Davao de Oro vision. Unity is our greatest asset and we must hold to it. We can never go wrong when we are together,” said Governor Uy.
Also gracing the occasion were Provincial Administrator Virgilia S. Allones together with the Provincial Government (PG) Department Heads and Assistant PG Heads, provincial employees of the provincial capitol from the executive and legislative branch. #YEStoDavaoDeOro (Rey Antibo, ID Comval)
