August 5, 2022
With over 800,000 jabs already done from it’s eleven (11) municipalities, the Provincial Government of Davao de Oro headed by Governor Dorothy Montejo-Gonzaga urged its constituents to get vaccinated with additional dose of Covid-19 vaccines for additional protection from the pandemic.
On August 2, 2022, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) partnered with LGU-Maragusan, and the Department of Health in launching the ‘PinasLakas’ campaign held at the Cultural Center of Maragusan. ‘PinasLakas’ is a nationwide campaign with the aim of increasing the number of vaccinated Filipinos who have been boosted with additional doses to sustain the country’s immunity from the pandemic.
In a statement, Mayor Angelito J. Cabalquinto of Maragusan encouraged the Maragusanons to get their primary and booster doses, and not be misled with false information as it affects the government’s campaign invalidating the vaccines’ efficacy and reliability of the authorities.
During the campaign, Mayor Cabalquinto volunteered to get the ceremonial booster shot of Covid-19 vaccine. He also stressed that the government will never administer anything that could affect anyone injuriously.
In total, the campaign inoculated a total of six-hundred nine (609) individuals with ages 5 to 11, and 12 years old and above in a day, which exceeded its five-hundred (500) target jabs.
Gracing the campaign launch were DOH XI Regional Director Dr. Annabelle Yumang, Dr. Mary Cyrel Pasaol of PHO-DdO, Christopher R. Molina of LHIO Nabunturan, DILG Maragusan, and officials of the LGU-Maragusan.
In the recent vaccination report of PHO-DdO, all municipalities in the province already reached fifty percent (50%) to seventy percent (70%) vaccination rate and continue to campaign the national vaccination directives. (PAO-IPRD DdO)
