In celebration of the National Disaster Resilience Month this July, the Provincial Government of Davao de Oro under the leadership of Governor Raul Mabanglo, through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), conducted a community tree planting activity on July 7 in Brgy. Mainit, Nabunturan. The initiative aimed to strengthen community preparedness and environmental protection in times of disasters.

The PDRRMC of Davao de Oro officially launched the month-long observance with a motorcade around Nabunturan, immediately followed by the tree planting activity.
The event was participated by Municipal Local Government Units (MLGUs), Civil Society Organizations, various government agencies, and security forces including the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Army (1103rd Brigade, 1st Alpha B, Delta Company), PDEA, PRC-CSU, PhilHealth, Commission on Audit, Civil Service Commission, DOLE, DPWH Districts 1 & 2, DENR, DOST, NFA, LTO, TESDA, and others.
Governor Mabanglo is in full support for this initiative as part of the provinceβs efforts to build stronger, peaceful, and disaster-resilient communities that can better prevent the impacts of floods and landslides.
