Davao de Oro PDRRMO, DDOLDM lead Balikatan Exercise

All 11 Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (MDRRMO) across the province participated in the Balikatan Exercise organized by the Davao de Oro League of Disaster Managers and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO).

‎The goal of the Balikatan Exercise is to further strengthen the collaboration among the DRRM offices in the province to ensure faster and more coordinated disaster response.

The activity was held in the mountainous area of Mt. Ampawid in Laak, where participants simulated a response to an airplane crash scenario. In addition to the drill, there were also tree growing activities, a Governor’s Night, awarding ceremonies for employees who have rendered years of dedicated service, and mini competitions for responders.

The Balikatan Exercise took place on August 27–28 of this year.
