DDOPH Montevista Patients grateful over Gov. Mabanglo, Cong. Maricar’s 85 wall fans donation

‎“We no longer have to suffer in the heat. Four wall fans were installed in our room. Thank you so much, Gov. Mabanglo and Cong. Maricar, for your swift response to the concerns of the patients here at Montevista Hospital,” said Genna Cabug-os, daughter of a senior citizen currently admitted at the Davao de Oro Provincial Hospital (DdOPH) in Montevista.

Genna shared the significant change in their situation since her mother was admitted. From a hot and stifling room, their area is now equipped with wall fans both inside and outside the rooms, bringing much-needed comfort to patients.

This ventilation issue was promptly addressed after Governor Raul Mabanglo and Congresswoman Maricar Zamora-Mabanglo personally donated 85 wall fans.

Conchita Cabudlan Taroy, one of the patients, also shared her experience:

‎(“Gibati mig kalipay kay dili na igang, komportable naming maghigda-higda. Nagpasalamat jud kaayu ko nga si Governor Mabanglo ang midaog. Abtik jud siya – mibisita gyud siya sa ospital, murag nakuratan siya sa among kahimtang nga igang kaayo. Pagka-ugma, gipadad-an dayon niya’g taga Engineer’s Office. Pagkasunod adlaw, gitaod dayon ang mga fan!”)

‎“We were really happy—it’s no longer hot, and we can now rest comfortably. I’m very thankful that Governor Mabanglo won. He’s very hands-on—he actually visited the hospital and seemed shocked by how hot it was. The next day, he sent people from the Engineer’s Office, and the day after, the fans were installed!”

In addition to the wall fans, the Emergency Room (ER) also received five new wheelchairs, significantly improving the speed and efficiency of patient services.

This initiative by the Governor and Congresswoman is just a temporary measure as they prepare a more comprehensive plan to improve the hospital.

It also proves the prompt and active public service under the new provincial administration, aimed at enhancing healthcare services in Davao de Oro.
