Families affected by fire in Montevista receive aid from the provincial government

The hearts of three families in Purok 1B, Poblacion, Montevista were broken after losing their homes in a fire that occurred on August 15, 2025.

However, their grief was eased after Governor Raul Mabanglo quickly provided assistance on August 18 including family food packs, hygiene kits, and sleeping kits.

“Thank you, Gov. Mabanglo and Cong. Maricar, for sending help immediately. This means a lot to us, Governor, because we really have no one else to rely on,” said Isaac Mendez, one of the fire victims.

With tears in his eyes, Mendez appealed to the public for help, saying they have nothing left after the fire. Those who wish to help may visit the Municipal Social and Welfare Development Office in Montevista.
