GOVERNOR’S WEEKLY REPORT || AUGUST 1-5, 2022
August 5, 2022
“Kaning BUCAS nga atong paga-ablihan sa Lamdag, wala kini cashier, pasabot libre kini tanan,”
“This BUCAS that we will open in Lamdag has no cashier, which means all services are free,”
said Dr. Bryan O. Dalid, Medical Center Chief of the Davao Regional Medical Center (DRMC), during the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on August 15.

The Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Service (BUCAS) Center is envisioned to serve as an extension facility of DRMC to expand access to free medical services such as outpatient consultations, laboratory tests, x-rays, minor surgeries, dental/oral health services, follow-up checkups, referrals, and more.
It will be established within the 97-hectare Lamdag Farm in Barangay Pasian, Monkayo, which is owned by the Province. The project became possible through the strong collaboration of DRMC, the 1st District Congressional Office under the leadership of Congresswoman Maricar Zamora-Mabanglo, the Provincial Government of Davao de Oro led by Governor Raul G. Mabanglo, the Department of Health (DOH) XI, and the LGU of Monkayo.
“Dili gyud makaya kung ang probinsya lang ang maglihok para ana; kinahanglan nato ang tanang health service agencies sa atong gobyerno nga magtinabangay,”
“The province alone cannot make this possible; we need all government health service agencies to work together,” said Gov. Mabanglo.

He also emphasized that all services at BUCAS, including medicines and laboratory procedures, will be provided free of charge.
“Kini gyud ang tinuod nga zero-billing kay wala may maningil sa mga pasyente,”
“This is truly zero-billing because no one will collect payment from the patients,” he added.
Meanwhile, Governor Mabanglo and Congresswoman Maricar Zamora-Mabanglo personally inspected the site for the BUCAS Center on August 8, 2025, within Lamdag Farm. During the activity, Congresswoman Zamora-Mabanglo assured her support in working to secure congressional funds for the construction of the project located within her district.
Also present during the inspection were officials of the Provincial Government and representatives from DRMC, which will manage and operate the facility.

The establishment of this BUCAS Center marks a strong collaboration among various agencies and leaders to provide the people of Davao de Oro with accessible and free healthcare services.
