August 5, 2022
The Provincial Government of Davao de Oro headed by Governor Engr. Raul G. Mabanglo gifted the Manat National High School (MNHS) with additional chairs in time for the school’s 59th Foundation Anniversary celebration.
Anecito A. Torrejos, Executive Assistant IV of the provincial government and representative of the governor led the turn-over ceremony for the 34 school chairs. He shared that Gov. Mabanglo strongly supports the education sector given that both his parents are educators.

One of the students, Denver Louise Caesar A. Mozo expressed his gratefulness for the new chairs while citing his personal experience using the old school chairs.
“𝑁𝑎𝑘𝑎 𝑒𝑥𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑝𝑢𝑑 𝑘𝑜 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑠𝑎 𝑚𝑔𝑎 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑠 𝑛𝑔𝑎 𝑛𝑎𝑦 𝑚𝑔𝑎 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑏𝑙𝑒𝑚𝑠 𝑚𝑎𝑔𝑡𝑢𝑦𝑎-𝑡𝑢𝑦𝑎 𝑠𝑖𝑦𝑎 𝑚𝑎’𝑎𝑚 𝑢𝑔 𝑛𝑎𝑎 𝑠𝑖𝑦𝑎𝑦 𝑚𝑔𝑎 𝑘𝑎𝑘𝑢𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑎𝑛 𝑛𝑔𝑎 𝑚𝑔𝑎 𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑎𝑙𝑠 𝑛𝑎 𝑛𝑎𝑔𝑎 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑜𝑠𝑒 𝑠𝑎 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑠…𝐼𝑓 𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑖 𝑘𝑎 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑠𝑎 𝑖𝑚𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑘𝑢𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑛 𝑛𝑎 𝑛𝑎𝑔 𝑠𝑡𝑢𝑑𝑦 𝑘𝑎 𝑖𝑠 𝑚𝑎𝑤𝑎𝑙𝑎 𝑘𝑎, 𝑑𝑖 𝑘𝑎 𝑘𝑎 𝑓𝑜𝑐𝑢𝑠 𝑜𝑔 𝑠𝑡𝑢𝑑𝑦.”
(“Based on my experience, the old chairs have many problems and at times they creak and rack…If you’re not comfortable with your chair it affects your ability to focus and you cannot study well.”)

He added that the new chairs will benefit a lot of students and he hopes that more schools will also have the same quality of chairs they received.
Master Teacher I and OIC of MNHS Rosalier F. Tusay admired the steadfast support of the provincial government to their school. According to him, the local government approved their request with utmost urgency however, he understands that the government cannot provide the entire number of chairs requested since most of the school chairs have been distributed to other schools already.

(“We are still grateful since we are well aware that a second batch for distribution of chairs can be expected in the future … This is indeed a big help to our students especially that we recorded a higher number of enrollees this year in Manat National High School…We’re very thankful to Gov. Mabanglo because he gave us additional school chairs.”)
Meanwhile, Mr. Torrejos shared to the teachers, students, and parents during the turn-over ceremony that the governor already finished the reconstitution of the Local School Board that will push forward the needs and problems of schools to the provincial government for immediate action.
