Gov. Mabanglo Highlights People as Davao de Oro’s True Gold in 28th Founding Anniversary

The true wealth of Davao de Oro lies not beneath its land but in its people, according to Governor Raul Mabanglo during the province’s 28th Founding Anniversary celebration, today, March 8, 2026.

In his message, Gov Mabanglo underscored that the true “gold” of the province is its people, whose resilience, unity, and dedication have fueled the province’s growth over the years. “𝐴𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑛𝑔𝑎 𝑏𝑢𝑙𝑎𝑤𝑎𝑛 𝑠𝑎 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑏𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑦𝑎 𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑖 𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑛𝑎𝑎 𝑠𝑎 𝑖𝑙𝑎𝑙𝑜𝑚 𝑠𝑎 𝑦𝑢𝑡𝑎 𝑜 𝑠𝑎 𝑘𝑎𝑏𝑢𝑘𝑖𝑟𝑎𝑛, 𝑘𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑖 𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑘𝑎𝑡𝑎𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝑠𝑎 𝐷𝑎𝑣𝑎𝑜 𝑑𝑒 𝑂𝑟𝑜,”he said.

He also pointed out that throughout the past 28 years, the province has faced various challenges, yet the people remained steadfast and resilient, allowing the province to move forward.

Gov Mabanglo likewise recognized the collective efforts of various sectors, from local government units and national agencies to farmers, workers, youth, and community leaders – whose contributions continue to support the province’s growth.

This year’s celebration carried the theme “𝑀𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑚𝑏𝑜𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑃𝑟𝑜𝑏𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑦𝑎, 𝐵𝑢𝑙𝑎𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝐾𝑎𝑡𝑎𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑛, 𝐿𝑎𝑚𝑏𝑜 𝐷𝑎𝑣𝑎𝑜 𝑑𝑒 𝑂𝑟𝑜,” reflecting the vision of a progressive province driven by empowered citizens and a shared commitment to development.
