Governor Raul Mabanglo has joined the Project TRANSFORM forum held at Hilton Manila Hotel on August 27, gaining insights into the latest technologies and scientific approaches vital in advancing sustainable development, disaster resilience, and climate change adaptation.
Accompanied by key officials from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO), and Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), Governor Mabanglo took part in the discussions highlighting the importance of innovative strategies in strengthening local government initiatives.
Project TRANSFORM, which stands for Transdisciplinary Approach for Resilience and Environmental Sustainability through Multi-Stakeholder Engagement, is a flagship program of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). It seeks to empower local government units by encouraging collaboration with communities to develop and promote science- and technology-based approaches for disaster and climate risk management.
The program aims to address the adverse effects of climate change and to build resilient and future-ready communities through shared responsibility and multi-sectoral cooperation.
