Gov. Raul Mabanglo visited the Davao de Oro Provincial Jail with Provincial Warden Jose Mervin Coquilla last August 07.
He inspected the state of the jail and the persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), emphasizing that PDLs are “humans too” and they deserve proper care for their rehabilitation and future reintegration to society.
He inspired the PDLs to change for the better and reminded them that hope is within reach just outside the facility.
Meanwhile, Chief of Staff Anecito Torrejos represented the governor in the three-days training for Home Care Support Services for Elderly Care Givers in the Ritz Hotel, Davao city on the same day.
The training aims to equip the personnel of the elderly facilities of the province with the right knowledge in attending for elderly needs.
This initiative was spearheaded by the Protective Services Division under the Elderly Welfare Program of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).
