The Provincial Government of Davao de Oro, under the leadership of Governor Raul Mabanglo, expresses its gratitude for the ₱17.25 million funding from first district Congresswoman Maricar Zamora-Mabanglo and second district Congressman Leonel “Jhong” Ceniza through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), intended as livelihood capital for 57 Associations across the province.
The SLP assistance was officially turned over during a ceremony held at the Provincial Capitol on June 30. It is expected to help the associations start or expand their micro-enterprises in agriculture, retail, services, and other livelihood ventures.
Beneficiaries warmly welcomed the support, recognizing it as a significant boost to their efforts toward achieving a more stable and improved livelihood.
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) also contributed by providing training kits and allowances, enabling the beneficiaries to acquire practical and technical skills essential for their chosen livelihoods.
