Gov Uy pushes for Gold Museum and more tourism infra projects
Nabunturan, Compostela Valley- Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy presented the different tourism infrastructure projects he intends to implement in the next three years before Pocholo Pergas, Chief Operating Officer of the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA). Joining the young governor in the presentation are Christine Dompor, Supervising Tourism and Investment Operations Officer and Dr. John Edward Coloma, Executive Assistant to the Governor.
The planned infrastructures for the province include the Gold Museum which will be situated in the Provincial Capitol, Tourism Assistance Centers in Mainit Hotsprings and Lake Leonard as part of the development of the eco-wellness and adventure circuit covering the towns of Maco, Mabini, Pantukan and Maragusan.
The governor underscored that these tourism projects intend to boost the province’s tourism industry, thereby producing more job and livelihood generation. He also said that this is part of the province’s effort to rebrand itself.
“A province named after gold deserve no less. That is why we are pushing for Gold Museum, an identity marker for our province. We are positioning our province to be the next tourism destination not only in Mindanao but the entire country, as well”, the young governor quips.
