GOVERNOR’S WEEKLY REPORT || AUGUST 1-5, 2022
August 5, 2022
Governor Raul Mabanglo and First District Congresswoman Maricar Zamora-Mabanglo personally donated wall fans to ease the heat inside the Davao de Oro Provincial Hospital (DDOPH) in Montevista.

It can be recalled that the couple visited various hospitals across the province to assess the actual conditions of the patients and hospital facilities. During the first leg of their rounds last week, their hearts were deeply moved by the situation at DDOPH Montevista, where they saw patients and their watchers lying uncomfortably in poorly ventilated wards.

During the first Convocation, Governor Mabanglo announced that the donation was their personal initiative, explaining that going through the government process would take too long. “We need immediate solutions,” he emphasized.
He added, “𝑃𝑎𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑦𝑎 𝑘𝑎𝑦 𝑑𝑖𝑙𝑖 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑜 𝑝𝑤𝑒𝑑𝑒 𝑚𝑎ℎ𝑎𝑡𝑎𝑔 𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑛. 𝐷𝑖𝑙𝑖 𝑝𝑢𝑑 𝑝𝑤𝑒𝑑𝑒 𝑛𝑎 𝑖𝑎𝑔𝑖 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑜 𝑜𝑔 𝑃𝑅 (𝑃𝑢𝑟𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑠𝑒 𝑅𝑒𝑞𝑢𝑒𝑠𝑡) 𝑘𝑎𝑦 𝑝𝑖𝑟𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑔 𝑑𝑢𝑔𝑎𝑦𝑎 𝑘𝑎𝑦 𝑘𝑎𝑏𝑎𝑙𝑜 𝑡𝑎 𝑛𝑔𝑎 𝑛𝑎𝑎𝑦 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑠𝑒𝑠𝑜 𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑔𝑜𝑏𝑦𝑒𝑟𝑛𝑜. 𝑆𝑜 𝑎𝑘𝑜 𝑛𝑎 𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑔𝑦𝑢𝑑 𝑔𝑖𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑘𝑎𝑚𝑢𝑡𝑎𝑛 𝑢𝑔 𝑎𝑘𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑦𝑎 𝑛𝑎 𝑚𝑎𝑘𝑎 𝑑𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑒.”
“We’re sorry we can’t provide everything. We can’t process this through PR (Purchase Request) because we all know how long that takes due to government procedures. So, I personally took the initiative, along with my family, to make this donation.”

The couple donated 85 wall fans worth ₱327,250 to improve air circulation in the hospital, along with five wheelchairs to immediately assist patient mobility.
A ceremonial signing of the deed of donation was also held between Governor Mabanglo and DDOPH Montevista Chief of Hospital Dr. Ferdinand Anthony M. Soberano to formalize the agreement.
