Davao de Oro Governor Raul Mabanglo paid tribute to the dedication and service of barangay leaders during the “Gabi ng Parangal” celebrations organized by the Liga ng mga Barangay.
On September 2, the governor lauded the barangay captains of Cluster 1, covering the municipalities of Monkayo, Compostela, New Bataan, Montevista, Maragusan, and Mabini. In his message, Governor Mabanglo emphasized the vital role of barangay captains in driving community development and strengthening local governance.

“Di man ta pareha og gidapigan, panahon na nga kita mag kuyog og serbisyo, isa lang atong direksyon, isa lang atong tumong ug tinguha nga makahatag og serbisyo sa atong nagkalain lain nga barangay.”
“Even if we may differ in political affiliations, it is time that we unite in service. We share one direction, one goal, and one aspiration—to deliver meaningful service to every barangay in our province,” he said. The governor also expressed his gratitude by distributing raffle prizes as tokens of appreciation.
Meanwhile, barangay captains from the second district expressed heartfelt thanks after being recognized during the Liga ng mga Barangay Provincial Congress on September 4. Governor Mabanglo, together with Congressman Jhong Ceniza, extended their appreciation for the efforts and contributions of barangay leaders, underscoring that the success of provincial programs greatly relies on the unwavering commitment of barangay officials as the frontliners of public service.

Both gatherings served as a testament to the shared commitment of barangay leaders and the provincial government to advance unity, good governance, and sustainable progress across Davao de Oro.
