Indonesian Consul seeks partnerships with Davao de Oro
NABUNTURAN, DAVAO DE ORO – Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy welcomed Consul General Dicky Fabrian of the Republic of Indonesia at the Provincial Capitol of Davao de Oro, last September 27, 2020. Together with Consul General Fabrian was Eli Syafitri Handayani, the Vice Consul for Economic Affairs.
Consul General Fabrian underscored that the main purpose of his visit was to explore possible partnerships with the Provincial Government of Davao de Oro. Investment-wise, the consul general particularly took interest in Davao de Oro’s gold mining industry, livestock industry, and agriculture. Possible student exchanges, partnerships on educational development, and other socio-cultural initiatives between the Republic of Indonesia and Davao de Oro were also discussed.
Governor Tyron assured the consul general that PLGU-Davao de Oro is willing to facilitate the entry of investments as it will help the province’s economy to recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The governor also said that the province’s state college, the Compostela Valley State College (CVSC) will be able to benefit from future socio-cultural exchanges.
The provincial government of Davao de Oro had also moved to establish partnerships with agencies from countries Japan and China in the past few years. Strengthening of the province’s international relations is part of the provincial government’s plans in alignment to Governor Tyron’s desire to link Davao de Oro to the world.
