The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office conducted an orientation on August 18 for new field personnel, including forest rangers and Community Affairs Officers from various municipalities in the province. The training focused on their role in monitoring mining and quarrying activities.
This orientation follows Executive Order No. 0100-2025, which authorizes Community Affairs Officers to assist in monitoring and enforcing laws against illegal quarrying and mining. The event was held at the DILG Office.
Governor Raul Mabanglo expressed strong support for the initiative, aiming for stronger implementation of environmental laws and ordinances that promote responsible natural resource management.
