New seal, hymn of Davao de Oro to be launched on Governor Tyron’s SOPA
Nabunturan, Davao de Oro– A month after the Davao de Oro ratification, the new corporate seal and hymn of Davao de Oro will be launched on the State of the Province Address of Governor Jayvee Tyron L. Uy on January 20, 2020 at the session hall of the new legislative building of the provincial government at Nabunturan, Davao de Oro.
Last year, Governor Uy signed Executive Order No. 15, series of 2019 that created the Davao de Oro Transition Committee. The committee was in charge in the creation of new seals, hymns and other corporate identities of the province.
In coming up with the hymn and seals, the committee convened the department heads of the provincial government, the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, political leaders, and other sectors and stakeholders.
The transition executive committee composed of Governor Tyron Uy, Vice Governor Maricar Zamora, Senior Board Member Arturo Uy, Congressman Manuel Waykurat Zamora of the first district, Congressman Ruwel Peter Gonzaga of the second district and Provincial Administrator Virgilia Allones finalized the look and sound of the new seal and hymn, respectively.
“We considered the province’s history, the milestones of the present and our outlook for the future in creating the province’s corporate identities. In fact, we hired a consultant to help us digest the different ideas and concepts that we have. Daghan gyud kaayo nahuna-hunaan ang mga tao”, the governor said.
Governor Uy said that the province adopted a simple and modern tone.
“I think it is pretty easy to make an identity when you are so sure of who you are. Let the new name of the province speak for itself”, he continued.
