Davao de Oro Scholarship Program (DDOSP)
The Davao de Oro Scholarship Program is the provincial government’s education intervention for the province’s youth that financially assists poor and deserving senior high school students and out-of-school youth so they can pursue higher or technical-vocational education/training. It also considers the
mainstream marginalized youth by allotting special slots for differently-abled youth, youth from
Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas, and children of solo parents whether IP or Non-IP.
With support and coaching from the program implementers, the scholars also conduct three major
projects under this scholarship program, namely Adopt-a-Scholar Project (ASP), Adopt-a-Mangrove
Project (AMP), and Hugpong Lunhaw: Adopt-a-Day Care Center (ADCC) Project.
The Davao de Oro Scholarship Program has been fruitful to produce academically competent, socially
and ecologically responsible, compassionate, and goal-driven graduates with some of them even being
top-notchers of The Board Licensure Examination for Teachers (BLEPT).
