The “Balikat ng Bayan” award was instituted by the SSS in 1995 as the agency’s way of recognizing the valuable contributions of employer-members and partner to the mission of SSS.
This is a recognition in tightening the campaign of supporting for “KaltaSS Collect Program” wherein the Social Security Protection will watch over the job order and contractual employees in the government.
According to Mr. Albar “the number of Job Orders and Contractual Workers in Comval capitol reached to 1,389 employees as members of SSS program that end up on the partnership of PLGU and SSS. This offers Social Security Protection to the employees of the government who are not member of GSIS.”
This program will help the Job Orders and Contractual employees by way of registering the unregistered workers in SSS and the monthly obligation will be deducted from their salaries and the LGU will be the one who pays in the SSS office. (Jazel Sarte//ids comval)
