To enhance local planning, the Provincial Government of Davao de Oro and its municipalities, including Mabini, Maragusan, Mawab, Montevista, Nabunturan, New Bataan, and Pantukan, are now equipped with data that serves as a basis for targeting households for government programs geared towards poverty alleviation and economic development.
The National Statistician and Civil Registrar General, Claire Dennis S. Mapa, led the ceremonial handover of the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Data to the representatives of each municipality involved. The ceremony was held at the Activity Hall, Capitol Building, on January 19, 2024.
In his message, Usec Mapa expressed his gratitude to the LGUs for their full support in participating in the CBMS implementation. He emphasized that this is not just a compilation of numbers but rather a blueprint for progress and a guide for inclusive development. He also encouraged them to use it as an integral part of their governance framework.
Governor Dorothy Montejo-Gonzaga also extends her congratulations to the whole team of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) provincial office for the successful implementation and turnover of data.
